Maryland Building Industry Association Hosts 2026 Multifamily Trends Conference & Award Presentation

GAITHERSBURG, MD. (September 10, 2026) – The Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA) and its Multifamily Council hosted its annual Multifamily Trends Conference and Awards Presentation on September 9 at The NRP Group Offices in Gaithersburg, Maryland, bringing together multifamily industry leaders, developers, builders, designers, and housing professionals from across the region.

The event featured an economic update with Dr. Anirban Basu of the Sage Policy Group followed by a panel discussion on Multifamily Trends in Design. The panel was moderated by Ryn Burns, Principal at Dwell Design Group Catherine Siegel, Senior Vice President of Client Services at Bozzuto Management Co., Josh Wooldridge, SVP of Development at the NRP Group, LLC and Marcy Segal, Principal at MSA Interiors.

A highlight of the conference was the presentation of the 2026 Multifamily Awards of Excellence, which recognizes outstanding projects that exemplify innovation, quality, and leadership within the multifamily sector. The awards were presented by MBIA Multifamily Council leadership - Doug Flanagan, Multifamily Council Chair and Vice President of Elm Street Development and Josh Wooldrige, Multifamily Council Vice Chair and SVP of Development at NRP Group, LLC.
